DCC 7.1
New Features
IG-2351 Introducing the Inuatek DCC mobile app
Release notes
The new Inuatek DCC mobile app provides technicians and operational users with secure access to machine dashboards and alerts while on the move.
The app is available for iOS and Android and uses the same user account and access rights as the DCC platform. After the initial login, users can access the app using the biometric authentication supported by their device, such as Face ID, Touch ID, or Android biometrics.
Key capabilities include:
- View Next-Gen standard and Fleet dashboards
- Receive DCC alerts as mobile push notifications
- Open the relevant dashboard directly by tapping a notification
- See the affected device and the dashboard period associated with the alert
- Use supported remote-access widgets, including VNC and WebVisu
- Interact with supported two-way dashboard widgets
- Mute mobile notifications when required
When an Alert Group or Quick Alert has been linked to a dashboard, tapping the push notification opens that dashboard directly and provides the relevant context around the alert trigger time. This allows service technicians to move from notification to investigation without first navigating through the DCC platform.
The app is focused on dashboard viewing and operational interaction. Administrative and configuration interfaces remain available through the regular browser-based DCC platform.
With the 7.1 release, the app will be publicly available through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
IG-2372 Favorites for faster access to key menus and elements
Release notes
Users can now mark frequently used DCC elements as favorites using a star symbol, making it faster to access the devices, dashboards, fleet dashboards, alert groups, Data Refinement Groups and reports they work with most often.
Favorite elements are clearly indicated with the star symbol in the menu and can be filtered with a dedicated Favorites toggle, so users can quickly reduce the view to only the items that matter to them. This is especially useful in larger installations where many devices, dashboards or reports are available.
Favorites are saved locally in the browser. This means they are specific to the browser and device being used, and they will not automatically follow the user when switching browser, changing device or resetting browser data. However, this also allows users to keep different favorite views for different working situations, for example one set of favorites in the desktop browser and another set in the mobile app.
For fleet dashboards, a single favorite can also be used as the preferred default when opening the fleet view. In the mobile app, favorites will help simplify the experience by focusing the user on the most relevant dashboards and elements by default.
Users can also select a preferred default menu to open after login, for example Data Viewer, if that is where they normally start their work.
IG-2398 More precise searches across device and data trees
Release notes
Tree searches now support multiple search terms and exact-match filtering, making it easier to locate specific devices and sample points in large installations.
Separate multiple terms with commas to require all terms to match. For example:
[Device1, Temperature]
This narrows the tree to entries matching both Device1 and Temperature.
Quotation marks can be used for exact matches:
[Device1, "Temperature]
The enhanced search is available in the Next-Gen Dashboard, IoT Administration, Data Viewer, and Data Refinement Group trees.
IG-2406 Synchronized Scaling for List, Table, and Event Widgets
Release notes
A new option, Sync scale with other tables, has been added to the List widget, Table widget, and Event widget. When enabled, widgets of these types can automatically align their content scaling with each other, making it easier to create dashboards with a consistent visual appearance across table-based widgets.
For the List widget, the option is available under the List menu. For Table and Event widgets, it is available under the Table menu.
When synchronization is enabled, the widget with the fewest rows will typically define the shared scaling. For List widgets, the number of rows is determined either by the selected data sources when Dynamic rows is enabled, or by the manually configured row count when Dynamic rows is disabled. For Table and Event widgets, the number of rows is based on the available table content or the number of events in the selected time period. If there are more rows than can be displayed, the widget will show a vertical scrollbar.
In many dashboard layouts, the List widget will often become the decisive widget for scaling when included in the synchronized group. The List widget also includes a Font size setting, which is set to Auto by default but can be changed to a specific pixel size. When a List widget is the decisive widget, synchronized Table and Event widgets will follow the List widget’s font size setting.
IG-2438 Open the relevant dashboard directly from an alert
Release notes
Alerts in an Alert Group can now be associated with a specific Next-Gen Dashboard.
Recipients can open the selected dashboard directly from the link in an email alert or by tapping the mobile push notification. The dashboard shows the affected device and the relevant period around the alert, providing immediate context for investigating what happened.
The link uses the Dashboard Report functionality and therefore expires according to the existing report-link rules. Dashboard links are not included in SMS notifications.
IG-2444 Configure Change Limit for SiteManager data collection
Release notes
The SiteManager Simple Configurator now supports the ChangeLimit parameter when Only save on change is enabled.
This makes it possible to define how much a value must change before a new sample is stored or transmitted. The available values and validation follow the constraints supported by the SiteManager.
IG-2447 Filter for FREE license in the License Management
Release notes
The License Management tree filter function now includes an "Attachment" section, where you can filter for Attached and Unattached devices. This is convenient for getting a quick overview of available licenses.
IG-2449 Save Audit Log filters as favorites
Release notes
Frequently used Audit Log filter combinations can now be saved as named favorites.
Saved filters can be selected later to restore the complete filter configuration and refresh the log accordingly. Favorites can also be renamed, deleted, or marked as the default view to be applied automatically when the Audit Log is opened.
Saved favorites are stored for the current browser profile and therefore do not automatically follow the user to another browser or device.
IG-2453 User and system events are now separated for clearer log overview
Release notes
We have improved the structure of event logging in DCC by separating user-driven actions from system-generated events.
The previous Audit Log has been redefined as the User Audit Log, making it clearer that this log is intended for actions performed by users, such as configuration changes or administrative activity.
A new System Event Log has also been introduced for events generated automatically by DCC, such as license expiry, auto-renewal, alerts, alarms, and scheduled system activity. As part of this change, license-related system events have been renamed for better readability. For example, Expire is now shown as Expired, and auto-renewal events are shown as Auto Renewed.
Alert events are now also included in the logging structure, improving traceability and making it easier for administrators to understand when important system-generated events have occurred.
For individual license logs, both user actions and relevant system events, such as Expired and Auto Renewed, are shown together to provide a complete license history. To keep this view simple and focused, the previous filter dropdowns have been removed from the license log, as the combined log is expected to remain short and easy to review.
IG-2458 Live data view added to IoT Configuration
Release notes
The Live view button is now available from the IoT Configuration page, as well as on the IoT Status page.
After installing or updating a device configuration, configurators can open the Live view to verify that data is being received and that the reported values look correct. This provides a clearer and more detailed validation view than the previous embedded line chart.
The Live view displays sample-point data only and does not include events.
IG-2466 Option to hide the dashboard time picker
Release notes
Dashboard designers can now hide the time picker through the dashboard settings.
When enabled, users cannot change the configured time window and will only see the period defined by the dashboard designer. This makes it possible to provide dashboards with a fixed scope while reserving flexible time selection for other dashboard offerings or user tiers.
The Revert button remains available, allowing users to reset temporary interactions such as zooming within charts.
IG-2469 License Activity Log added to the company Activity page
Release notes
The Activity page in IoT Administration now includes a License Activity Log for the selected company.
The log shows license-related system events, including when licenses are created, attached, changed, or otherwise updated. This gives distributors and company administrators a consolidated view of both the current license status and the actions that led to it, without requiring them to open the separate System Event Log.
IG-2470 Synchronized Font Scaling for Label, Value, and Clock Widgets
Release notes
A new option, Sync scale with other labels, has been added to the Label widget, Value widget, and Clock widget. When enabled, widgets of these types can automatically align their font scaling with each other, making it easier to create dashboards with a consistent visual appearance across text-based widgets.
For Label and Value widgets, the setting is available under Font. For the Clock widget, it is available under Type and applies only when the Clock widget is set to Digital.
When synchronization is enabled, the widget with the most text content will typically define the shared scaling. This ensures that widgets with longer labels or values can determine a suitable font size, while other synchronized widgets adjust accordingly.
The decisive widget’s own font size setting is also taken into account. If the decisive widget uses Auto, the synchronized widgets will follow the automatically calculated scaling. If the decisive widget uses a fixed font size, that setting will be reflected in the synchronized scaling behavior.
In normal dashboard view, scaling is applied automatically. When editing dashboards with many widgets, it may sometimes be necessary to refresh the browser window after changing settings before the updated scaling is fully reflected.
